Hello and welcome back for another year of soccer! 

 

Following soccer Nova Scotia's regulations there are six groups available

Mini Soccer (half field)

  • Under 6

  • Under 8

  • Under 10

House League (full field) 

  • Under 12

  • Under 14

  • Under 16/18

The children in this area are also welcome to register and try out for rep teams of the East Hants Soccer Association and you can check with them about registering your child.

5:30pm-7:00pm at the Kennetcook Fire Hall

Children turning 5 by December 31/08 are eligible to play. 

 

As we have two soccer fields that are accessible for our use for both practices and games, we want to be able to use both. we obviously realize that families have children playing at different levels and we will try to keep this in mind, however you must appreciate that there may be a possibility that one level will be at the High School practicing and another level we be at the Rawdon School. 

Practice will take place every Sunday until the end of the season with the exception that there will be no practices on long weekends. Please ensure that your children are picked up at the end of their practice time. In case of rain, please call your child's coach before heading to practice. the rule of thumb will be that practice takes place rain or shine, as do games, but individual coaches do have final say. In previous years the game schedule has been scheduled to begin on or about the first week of June. We will notify you as soon as this information is made available to us.

The children will be required to be dressed appropriately for practice and games. Soccer Nova Scotia requires that children be dressed with shin pads completely covered with socks, rubber soccer cleats, shorts/sweats and t-shirts. Jerseys are to be worn only for games. Every player is required to have their own soccer ball for practice.

Ball Sizes

  • Under 6 - size 3 soccer ball

  • Under 8 - size 4 soccer ball

  • Under 10 - size 4 soccer ball

  • Under 12 - size 4 soccer ball

  • Under 14 - size 5 soccer ball

  • Under 16/18 - size 5 soccer ball

 

Please ensure your child is ready for games and practices with all their gear including their ball and drinking water.

Please remember that this is to be POSITIVE and a learning experience for the players and that the coaches are volunteering.
